Frequently asked questions

How do I book a consultation?
Call us on 07300 61 71 71, email info@panthagani.com, or use the booking form on our contact page. We'll respond within one working day.
What does a consultation involve?
A thorough examination and detailed imaging of your eyes, an honest conversation about your lifestyle and goals, and a clear, written treatment plan if surgery is the right option.
How much does treatment cost?
Indicative prices are on our prices page. A personalised written quote is always provided after consultation, with no hidden fees.
Do you accept private health insurance?
Yes — we work with most major UK insurers. We can provide everything you need for pre-authorisation.
Where will my surgery take place?
Our partner hospitals across Northamptonshire, Peterborough, Kettering, Market Harborough, Stamford and Oundle. We'll choose the site that works best for your surgery and your travel.
What should I bring to my consultation?
Any current glasses and/or contact lenses, a list of medications you take, and your prescription if you have it. If you wear contact lenses, please stop wearing them for 48 hours before the appointment so we can measure your eyes accurately.
How long is recovery?
It depends on the procedure. Laser eye surgery typically means back to work the next day. Cataract surgery: light activities within 24–48 hours, full recovery in a month. We'll set expectations clearly at consultation.
What happens after surgery?
You'll see Mr Panthagani the next day, at one week, and at one month. If anything feels wrong between appointments, you have direct access to the team.
